Dippers

30 March 2009 · No Comments

I am, for once in my life (and much to the surprise of anyone who has met me), done ahead of schedule. Yes, that’s right, the Dippers socks are done being knit, done being photographed, and the pattern done being written. You may find the pattern here. You may also shower me with adulation, expensive presents, and, barring either of those, pictures of your completed socks.

One more picture, mostly because I’m smug and self satisfied. Possibly even smugly self satisfied.

Slant

As promised, the pattern for Slant is finished. The Ravelry page is here, and the pdf of the pattern is here. Thanks to everyone who said nice things about them, and special thanks to the valiant knitters who bravely tested out the stitch pattern instructions and pronounced them intelligible.

One last pic and then I promise to stop showing them off:

What’s that? Oh. Yes, I totally am that pale. It’s cold here, it happens. Not that it will be any different when it warms up, I just have more of an excuse at the moment.

Popped

I made socks. I make a lot of socks, and I am inordinately pleased with these particular ones. They’re actually mine, not taken from a pattern or inspired by a stitch in a stitch dictionary. They’re kind of nifty (I’m biased though). See?

But wait, there’s more. More of my feet that is. They go on for miles.

I’m fairly smug and full of myself, but on the off chance you like them, you can make them too. Download the pattern here. Aren’t I keen? Actually, I may sort of suck. In addition to being my first solo attempt at making socks, it’s also my first attempt at writing a pattern. There are likely errors. You might accidentally knit a poncho or a hat or a llama saddle. Pay attention.
