Working the same motif over an entire sock can be lovely, even elegant. It can also be deadly dull. Sometimes I simply do not have the patience needed for such an undertaking. This sock started with the idea that I could pick a series of motifs that worked well together and switch between them as I got bored.

I love the result.  Just as you’re starting to get tired of one stitch pattern, it’s time to move on to the next one.  The knitting stays interesting, but the finished sock is still cohesive.

The sock is worked top down with a heel flap.  It calls for a gauge of 7 to 7.5 stitches to the inch in dk weight yarn.  Because of the individual repeats, the pattern is only written for one size.  The best way to adjust the socks for different sizes would be to use thicker or thinner yarn.
