Giveaways and Patterns and Goodies Oh My!

Anemochory are out!
These were made with the lovely Hedonist Sock from SlackFord Studio, and you’ve been watching me work on them for the last few weeks. They’re smooshy and warm and indulgent and just the sort of thing I love to put my feet in…when it’s not hot. I’m pretty sure it will get cold again eventually, and I’ll be breaking these out just as soon as I can bring myself to put anything on my feet again…say some time in September.
Now this temporary sock wearing hiatus does not reflect a sock knitting hiatus, at least not for me. On the off chance that’s the case for you too, I have good news. Susan, the force behind SlackFord, has a present for you. She’s giving everyone 10% off all purchases made this month if you enter the code “Hunter” (I’m blushing) during checkout.
As if that wasn’t enough, Susan’s also offered a skein of the yarn I used here to one lucky reader (and of course I’ll send along the pattern). You guys know the procedure, head over to SlackFord Studios, find the name of your favorite color (it will be a challenge, the colors are beautiful), come back here, and leave me a comment with the name of that color. I’ll leave the comments open for at least 3 days and will announce the winner at the end of the week. Just as a reminder, you’ve got to use a real email address. I won’t use it for anything other than notifying the winner.

Oo, oo, oo – I’m the first comment! And I’ve been loving Hot Lips for a long time, I’ve just bought other colors from Susan instead.
And I’m buying Anemochory immediately! Thanks, Hunter!

Temptress.
Honey Butter. Or Midnight Oasis – I’m always drawn to greys. Or Creme Caramel. Definitely one of those.
The way you shape your socks fascinates me.

I love that sock pattern! Is it toe-up or easily converted? I would love to make these. As for the yarn… I think the Blue Haze would be a wonderful color to make these in.. and I’m going to have to get a skein of the Mahhvelous Dahling! to make another pair of socks. I’ve been looking for just the right yarn for them forever, and you’ve helped me find it! Thank you!

I love Susan’s yarn. Am currently knitting on a sweater out of Cote d’Azur Hedonist.
If I have to pick a favorite colorway, I’ll pick Billie Jean just because it’s so practical since I wear jeans all the time. I have one pair of Billie Jean socks that I wear whenever they’re clean. Been washing them often and they still look like new.
The pattern is lovely and perfect for Hedonist.

OMG you where so right the colors are to die for. But the color that drew my eye was Black Raspberry OOAK maybe because I love raspberries. This new sock will be on my to do list very soon. Glad to hear you are going to keep designing socks through the summer months. Can’t wait to see your new book!!!

I’m on a bit of a blue or gold kick, so the Hedonist Sock that appeals is Cote D’Azur. And I’ve been ogling Susan’s Cirrus Lace for a while (mmm, Clementine).

I’m currently knitting one of your other patterns and loving it, so look forward to trying this one out in the future.
I’m a big fan of the way Susan’s yarn knits up in the photos on SKA, particularly her semi-solids. I think my current favorite might be the Mermaid’s Tale.

Love finding out about indie dyers, thanks for linking to another with fantastic colours. Amazingly, I like the Gold Coast in Hedonist the best. 1) Hedonist for a yarn name! 2) The yellow I see in my mind. Not that it means I could wear it without feeling super selfconscious, yellow’s never been my friend, but that shade is just divine.
Oh – my mother is now starting to bother me about making socks, what with me knitting and having magazines around – so I may HAVE to make a pair! Lol. thanks again for your sock encouragment!

Oh, most lovely pattern! Always fun to see a new Hunter pattern out there.
Surprisingly, my pick is “honey butter.” I don’t think of myself as a yellow person, but goodness, that’s loverly! Fun to see so many of the colors. Really nice stuff.

True Blood! My eye was drawn to that, and even though there are a LOT of really gorgeous colours there (Midnight Oasis, Chocolat – I see you!), I keep coming back to that one.
