Sybaritic

sybaritic2The sun came out on Sunday, and The Boy was gracious enough to go outside on a little photo shoot.  I spent quite a lot of time sitting on the porch railing trying to keep my toes still, and he spent an equal amount of time cheerfully tramping through the (shamelessly overgrown and scandalously weed filled) flower beds.  I’m fairly sure we confirmed the neighbors’ suspicions that we are a bit crazy.  I think it was worth it though, as I now have even more pictures of my feet.

The pattern is up, and you likely know the drill by now.  If you feel a burning desire to make these socks for yourself (and really who could blame you) click here to buy the pattern.  If you have fallen madly in love with the yarn (and again, who could blame you) then you’re in luck, as the marvelous Liberty’s Yarn has agreed to donate a skein of it to a lucky reader (see isn’t it pretty)!  Go check out the site, then come back and post the name of your favorite colorway in a comment.  She’s got lots and lots of base yarns, so be sure to look around.  I’ll leave comments open till Wednesday morning, and then pick a winner.

I’m really unreasonably tickled by these, so am subjecting you to yet another picture.

I love how you’ve hidden the gusset in the leaf. Very clever. And pretty!

My favorite sock yarn over at Liberty’s is Kaguya in Eve.

Beautiful socks! Love sport weight patterns, and I’m getting these just as soon as my sport weight socks are done.

I can’t go look at Liberty’s yarn just yet, since Blogspot is blocked at work. I’ll leave a comment anyway. Love fall colors and greens, but if it’s free yarn I will not be picky. Promise to go look after work.

I’m really torn between the Caterpillar and the Imperial. The Caterpillar is prettier and I love the little quote with it. But I could picture myself wearing the Imperial more than the Caterpillar, so I’d have to say Imperial edges out Imperial as my choice (but just barely!!).

Oops – typo!! I meant to say “I’d have to say Imperial edges out Caterpillar as much choice (but just barely!!)

“Montol is a traditional Cornish midwinter festival. Celebrations include Guise dancing, the Cornish candle dance…” I’m completely taken with the Montol colorway (I live in Cornish!), and I think it works well with your fabulous pattern, since it could be candleflames as well as leaves :)

Lovely pattern–I can’t wait until Christmas knitting is finished so I can make it :) My mom has been knitting socks for other people for months….I think this would be perfect for me to knit for her!

I like the chalkboard colorway in her Bluetopia yarns.

That is a really lovely sock pattern – you should be absurdly proud, and I for one did not object to the extra picture.

Browsing the Liberty yarns I loved the Imagination colorway in the kaguya line – but I’d be much more likely to wear the even more lovely Damson colorway in the Bluetopia.

I’ll definitely be bookmarking the site for future use :)

You have made my life more difficult now – I’m torn between Dippers, Bedizen and now these beauties for my Dec SKA.

I love the new Sportmagundi::Saturnalia, celebrating the festival of the God of Harvest in Dec, so very apt.

The colorway is perfect with the pattern. It all just blends.

I am partial to Liberty’s yarns anyways, as she is a sponsor for my podcast, Belle of the Ball.

No need to put my name into the drawing…just wanted to leave a comment.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I swear … I really need to learn how to knit. I can crochet my heart out but I would never be able to knot something that nice.

O and I checked out the site … AWESOME. I loved everything but there were two that caught my attention and held it …

I love the Kermis, but then again almost any green tickles my fancy. I love the leaf that comes down the foot.
